We want to help improve lives in our communities!

Thank you for your interest in a donation. We take great pride in our local communities. It is where we live, too. That's why Hilmar Cheese Company is committed to support non-profit organizations and volunteer opportunities that improve lives. We value your time and encourage you to read the guidelines below before starting the form.

Organizations must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Tax-exempt status
  • Recognized government entity
  • K-12 public or nonprofit private school, charter school, community/junior college, state/private college or university
  • Church or other faith-based organization with a request that benefits the community at large

We contribute in areas where most of our employees live and work:

  • Merced and Stanislaus counties in California
  • Dallam, Hartley, Sherman, and Moore counties in Texas
  • Ford county in Kansas

We contribute in these categories:

    • Inspiring Young Minds – Efforts to improve opportunities for youth like 4-H, FFA, academics, literacy, boosters, and sports or activities with access to all.
    • Food Security & Healthy Lives – Efforts to improve health such as food banks, hospital foundations and disease fighting organizations.
    • Agriculture Outreach – Efforts to promote agriculture like shows, fairs and consumer ag education efforts.
    • Arts – Entity/activity to enrich the communities with music, drama and/or arts.
    • Community Outreach – Service organizations/activity to enrich our communities.

Please submit the form as soon as possible. Please  allow 8-12 weeks for consideration, processing and distribution.

Financial donations are mailed. All other donations must be picked up from your local Hilmar Cheese Company.

Philanthropic donations generally do not fund:

  • Efforts substantially serving people outside of counties where a Hilmar Cheese Company facility is located.
  • Individual market or breeding animals at fairs.
  • Individual Travel teams.
  • Religious activities or programs that serve or promote, or appear to serve or promote, specific religious organizations, groups, denominations or religious beliefs.
  • Debt retirement, deficit financing, reduction of an operating deficit or replenishment of resources used to pay for such purposes.
  • Lobbying or legislative activities.
  • Programming or expenses occurring before a grant is awarded.

If your program is a good fit with the described criteria, please apply below. An attachment (request letter, event flyer, sponsor packet, W-9 or other support information) is required to submit.

You will receive an email copy of your submission if the application was completed properly. If you do not receive the copy, the form did not submit. Please try again.  

Submission of an application does not assure a donation award. You will be notified of the result of your request by phone or email within 8-12 weeks. Email donations@hilmarcheese.com with any questions.
